2025 Math Adoption Workshop Series

Partner with CalCurriculum to prepare for math materials adoption with support from experts.

About the Opportunity

CalCurriculum invites all California school districts, charter management organizations (CMOs), and supporting county offices of education (COEs) to participate in our no-cost 2025 Math Adoption Workshop Series. Teams will prepare for math materials adoption through the lens of the 2023 California Math Framework.

Districts/CMOs that attend all sessions and sign a memorandum of understanding will receive a $3,000 stipend to offset substitute coverage costs. The stipend will be paid in two equal installments: (1) shortly after the in-person session on March 12, 2025 and (2) after the completion of the series on May 7, 2025.

During these hybrid workshops, teams will:

  • Learn about the expectations for materials from the 2023 California Math Framework,

  • Articulate the characteristics of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) while maintaining a particular focus on multilingual learner (MLL) students, with resources and support from the English Learners Success Forum (ELSF),

  • Understand the importance of instructional materials and their impact on student learning, and

  • Begin planning and setting up the structures for a successful future math materials adoption.
